Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions to Synaptic (“the Service”), a Visual Studio Code extension developed by GoLab (“we”, “us”, “our”). All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy LLC, which acts as the Merchant of Record.

Overview

Synaptic is a digital product with instant access upon purchase. We want you to be satisfied with your subscription. If you are not, this policy explains when and how you can request a refund.

Refund Eligibility

Full Refund (within 30 days)

You may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial subscription purchase if:

  • You have used fewer than 700 cycles during the refund period.
  • You have not previously received a refund for a Synaptic subscription.

This 30-day refund window applies only to first-time subscriptions to a given plan.

Partial or Pro-Rated Refunds

We may offer a partial refund at our discretion in cases such as:

  • Extended service outages (more than 48 consecutive hours) caused by issues on our end.
  • Billing errors resulting in incorrect charges.

Non-Refundable Scenarios

Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:

  • You have exceeded 700 cycles within the current billing period.
  • The refund request is made after 30 days from the initial subscription date.
  • Your account was suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service.
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated output quality, as this depends on third-party AI providers beyond our control.
  • Failure to cancel before a renewal date — you may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Email us at support@golab.cl with the subject line “Refund Request”.
  2. Include your account email address and the reason for your request.
  3. We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.

Alternatively, you may contact Lemon Squeezy support directly through your order confirmation email.

Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy and returned to your original payment method.
  • Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • Upon refund, your subscription will be cancelled and your account will revert to the Free plan immediately.

Subscription Cancellation

Cancellation and refunds are separate actions:

  • Cancellation prevents future charges. You retain access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refund returns the payment for the current billing period and reverts your account to the Free plan immediately.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Lemon Squeezy Customer Portal (accessible from within the extension) without needing to request a refund.

Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically each month. We do not offer refunds for renewal charges if you forgot to cancel. To avoid unwanted charges, cancel your subscription before the renewal date.

We recommend cancelling at least 24 hours before your renewal date to ensure the cancellation is processed in time.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email. The updated policy applies to purchases made after the effective date.
